I wanted to hook up a hard disk to my PS2 via the network adaptor, and I wanted to put some ISOs on the hard disk.
I have the HDL_08BG Hard Disk Loader ELF, and WinHIIP_V1.7.6 for managing the hard disk and iso ripping.. I wanted to make a bootable disc of the hard disk loader though, to keep in my PS2 at all times..
Does anyone have or know of a program that you can use to make your own bootable ps2 disc? Thanks!

Use CDGENPS2. The latest version (3.0) can be found in the ps2xme090b.zip file found on ps2dev here: http://ps2dev.org/ps2/Loaders
Making a PS2 disc with it still requires a modchip or swap discs. CDGENPS2 is how I make most of my bootable PS2 homebrew.

How do I do it?
I used CDGenPS2 3.0, and I simply click-and-dragged the HDLoader ELF into the menu, and saved it as a BIN as is, and burned it onto a CD-R.
Am I missing a step, because I have a chipped PS2, with no network adaptor/HDD at the moment, and it says "Disc Read Error".
Thanks for the advice so far BTW :)

If you look at PS2 discs, they have a SYSTEM.CFG file that tells the PS2 what file to load from the cdvd. You'll have to make one with the name set to the name of the elf file. Fortunately, it's just a simple text file. For an example, look at any PS2 disc.

you could just download the iso here (http://www.sksapps.com/hd/HDL_8B_CD.rar).
