Xecuter Gamecube Case real proto pics!

looks good!

Before everyone starts bashing them - please note that they state these are protos - which means NOT final quality. ie they will have some flash and the polished appearance is most likely due to these parts coming from proto tools - which are typically polished rather then textured.

IMHO best Industrial Design yet! Lets hope the final quality is high!

I really like the way these cases seem to preserve the factory LED of the GC. Plus it looks like the jewel is an original GC jewel, meaning that it can probobly be interchanged with other jewels, seeing as XECUTER said that they would be able to.

OK, so Xecuter got me all excited, any estimates on when they will be comming out, and how much they gonna cost. I for one think 60 is way to much, and 40 is also kinda high, I was thinking like 35 would be perfect. MOstly casue you can practicly buy a whole new GC on ebay for like 40$

The other two replacement TOPS, are $25-35, and thats just the top. The Xecuter cases are the whole case.

I am guessing that they will be $50-$55.

Maybe Xecuter will actually sell both the tops and the whole case, like sell the tops for people who already have the bottom color that they want.

remember guys. i believe no price has been announced yet. so people are just guessing that the price will be around $50. since hushtraps and xcm lids go for 19.99 us...these full case replacements might be around the 30-40 range since they will include the bottom as well.

VIPER Cube top has a visible led, but not when 12cm dvd's are used, this may be the same :(

mine works fine only one problem with it, i had to snip one of the extra legs inside the case (Not the ones for that hold the screws), just where the VC mod is placed next to the fan

Is it just me or do thes look thlike they are only tops with back panel replacements? I don't see any modded bottoms.

For the pictures, they are just using stock bottoms, but they are working on, and will release the bottoms that match.

But just wondering, woudln't it be a good idea for them to sell like 2 differnt packages, one with and one with out the bottoms, that way people who already have the color bottom they want don't have to pay more?

I don't fall into that group casue I have a purple case, and if I knew that there was a black option i would have gotten it when I bought my GC like 4 years ago, or whenever they came out.

if by db you mean that parallel 25-pin connector, it there case the case will be made for both viper and qoob chips, and although the qoob uses a faster and much smaller USB port, the viper just happens to use a 25 pin connector. So team Xecuter just wanted to be sure that the case could be used by people who have either chip. or anyother that might use either of thouse ports.

oh, and if by db, you didn't mean the parallel 25-pin connector then uh, I don't see an other big ports, so thats what you must have ment. :D

Yes, it is a DB-25, serial port is a DB-9. I was kind of hoping they had some other interesting gaget in there, ah well its just a viper... :o thanks quantum for the clairity.

no prob, it would be neet if that part was removable and you could but a blank pice of plastic where it is insted, just in case you don't actual;y have a viper, casue its kinda ugly especially if it servs no purpose from qoob people.

About this case, it sure did sneak up on me. I just got back from cancun about 30 minutes ago to see all these piccy's and junk, its very shocking and unexpected. SURE LOOKS NICE THOUGH! Dunno about anyone else, but I'd pay the price for a new cube (100 USD) for one of these they look so nice! Can't wait till they're out.
