Greetings folks
How are you PSP owners finding your machine? I'm seriously considering getting one and was wondering if the US released machines had the Jap problems ironed out?
Anyone had any dead pixel issues? If so, did that dead pixel fixing video thats been kicking around the net work?
I'm UK based an am tempted to hold on until the September release here as the Euro machine is rumoured to be using a new display (Samsung instead of Sharp, or vice versa - I forget) to combat the large amount of dead pixels and the buttons are supposed to be getting fixed to solve the "less responsive over time if bashed" problem.
Sony are ludicrous with their customer service and the quality of their merchandise is balls in comparison to their competitors but I still line up like a crack fiend to purchase their wares because they have such pleasing asthetics....Let's hope the PSP is more durable than the PS2.
Regarding the PSP being cracked, I think it will happen very soon - most likely via a BIOS replacement file that you will flash to your machine from the memory stick seing as Sony seem to have not prevented BIOS overwriting by disabling the write process (as witnessed by the recent V1.5 upgrades). This would lead to a situation similar to a TSOP flashed Xbox :D
