I was wondering how i could use downloaded game saves? I plan on buying a SD Gecko; and a 256/512MB SD card to go with it.

-what do i need to format the SD card in? (FAT16/FAT32/etc)
-can i just copy the game saves to the main folder of the SD card after i've formatted it, and play them?
-can i use ntsc game saves for pal games, and visa versa?
-can i use english game saves for jp games, visa versa?
-what format game saves do i need? i've seen a few different types floating around ( .sav .gcs .gci etc ); and where can i get converters for these?

Hoping someone can help me answer these questions :)

It's meant for a Qoob Pro modchip.. but have a look and see if it works with the SD... you'll NEED a BroadBand Adaptor to get it to work...........

How do i burn .dol files to dvd, to they "selfboot" ?, also, say i get gcs to selfboot, do i just put the save files on the sd card, and swap discs?

Check here for the stuff you need...

The idea is to run ctr-gcs from your PC, to copy it to the PC through the BBA... from there you could back it up on your SD... I think...

As for the other questions... maybe cross-region saving may work... but besides that, I don't have a clue as to the other answers... :D Hope someone here does!

I use a USB memory card made by EMS with my Gamecube; the card makes .gci files for storage on PC. The .sav files you may find are made by an Action Replay Max Drive Pro. I have in the past converted Max Drive .sav files downloaded from the internet to .gci files (rename them, and use my USB card software to basically delete the "action replay" header within the code that made it a .sav file in the first place) that I can use with my own device.

As far as region conversion, I dont know if the converter here will work with .sav files, but I do know it works with .gci files. It converts to/from PAL/US/JAP:
