OK, here's the deal - seems weird to me.
I have a PAL Wii 2.2E with a WiiKey installed and setup using the PAL 1.2 Base. The WiiKey was bought from an (allegedly) official reseller Games4Play (www.games4play.com) in the UK - so far so good.......
Region Override is set to ON, Audiofix is ON and DVDR Discspeed is set to 6x and these settings have been saved. I know that the config when re-run always displays the same settings as it doesn't read from the chip - that's not the problem here.
The problem I have is with playing NTSC ISOs. For instance, Shrek NTSC works fine on my PAL Wii, however Super Paper Mario NTSC and Biohazard 4 NTSC JAP do not UNLESS I run regionfrii on the ISOs and then burn - in which case they work fine.
So, if this was consistent and all NTSC games wouldn't work on my PAL Wii then I would summise that my WiiKey was either a clone or had a faulty EEPROM. However, this is not the case.....
Any suggestions ?
I am having a lot of DDE (Dirty Disc Error) problems too but I'm putting that down to either my media, burnspeed or my writer.....but I guess this could be related to the WiiKey too ?
I've got some Taiyo Yuden DVDRs coming tomorrow so that should narrow down some of the issues but I digress....
So, back to the Region Override issue - has anyone come across this before and got a potential solution ?
