hey guys,
i want to buy a pal wii and then get it modded.
i dont know much about the process yet, or how the mod works. ie region patching, etc.
but which is the best modchip? i know theres a chart out, but it doesnt appear to be up to date with all the possible firmware updates?
anyway, thanks guys!
ps-can anyone reccomend a cheap installer in london?

Wiikey is the best together with cyclowiz. Do the same thing.
Oh ye allmost forgot, here's the magic line that prevents flaming in this thread.
WIIKEY DOESN'T HAVE AUDIOFIX SO THERE'S A HANDFULL OF GAMECUBE GAMES YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO PLAY.

Remember that not all NTSC releases will play on PAL consoles. Compatibility is the same between Wiikey and Cyclowiz (afaik).
Go with either, you won't notice a difference.

Then what's this 'built in audio fix' feature the wiikey is advertised as having? I have a Wiikey clone on the way, but i'm not too worried, I have a GC w/xeno, but it'd be nice to burn some multiboot discs..

That would be false advertising.

If you're not interested in playing GC backups, your best bet is to go with the wiikey clone. It has the same compatibility region-wise as the wiikey and cyclowiz, but costs significantly less.

Worst Advice Ever...
Avoid clones.

I guess you would know because you've installed how many?
I've got 4 running in friend's systems and they're all working perfectly. Perhaps you should stick to things that you actually know something about or have some experience with.

Clones are crap.. if you didn't know that, now you do.
