Saw talk of this on IRC.
Further fallout.. But good news for others.

I've been sitting back and watching this whole mess go down, until now.
I gave wiikey 100% of my support over the last 3 months, even wrote some software to simplify their applications. But I'm done with wiikey. Yes their product works great for what I need but their customer service is simply Null.
I can assure you that the DVD Playback app we are working on will not be first released for wiikey. It was a consideration, but now it's a complete answer of "no".
Also, the wiikey base 1.2 utilities app I produced will become available in it's source (VB.Net) within a few days. If anyone cares to continue with the project upon wiikey releasing an update (if it ever does happen), your more than welcome to it.
Wiikey was my first choice and my first chip for the Wii. But I have since then found 4 others that work just the same (if not better) and have a true support system.
So without rambling on any more and wasting more forum DB space, I say goodbye wiikey.
