Topic... I've got a few WiiKey's left, I want to WiiKey my friends shiny new Wii.
Will that be viable? I heard the schematics are different, but a "professional" will be doing it so... They should know right?

Are you in Japan? If not, then you can.

Oh sorry, this is NTSC USA. I heard of a change in the schematics back in late april early may, there was a work around right?

it seems that New European Wii's have the 6th wiikey point removed and some in Asia where the first board revision was reported
USA wii's atm seem wiikey friendly as nobody in USA has said they have seen the new boards
only way to know for sure is to open her up - in UK
LEH 10xxxxx is the old wiikey pcb
LEH 13xxxxx is the newer pcb with the wiikey point removed
the serials are different in USA but might give you an idea, but that is all, only when you open her up you will see if the point is there - btw to clarify I call it the 6th point coz other mods use only 5 wires - in the wiikey diagram this 6th point is the number 3 point btw
if it is missing you will need to solder the wire direct to the panasonic chip carefully
Or just fit a cheapo 12f629 mod in there - yaosm is what I am using now
