Wii only playing RW (and original) disks problem

Hi,
I installed a wiikey in my wii, I'm having a problem when burning with my pioneer dvr110, I tried burning on +r and -r verbatim media at 4x with clone cd and imgburn, but none is working, then I tried with a verbation +rw at 4x again and it worked, can it be that the drive is screwed and only plays original and rw disks or something ?

Have you changed the drive speed to 3x ?

If not stick in the set up disc and change it to 3x

Hi, just tried that, when the setup disk loads I can't move neither using a gc controller nor the reset button as stated in the readme file :'(

ok have you got the g/cube controller plugged in before you turn the machine on?

you need to use the d pad on the g/cube controller

I tried the two, looks like once loaded the menu is just freezed :'(
maybe a faulty wiikey ?

Not saying you're dumb, but double check to make sure your plugging your gc controller in port 1, it's a common mistake (I've done it myself, port 1 is towards the front side, 4 is by the gc mem card slot). Also, controller response in the setup menu is a tad on the slow side.

I tried ports 1 to 4 ^^, btw I burned the config 1.0 disk (in a rw) and this one is working ... (1.1 and 1.2 are not), in 1.0 I changed the drive speed to 3x and the dvd+r / -r backups miraculously worked, then I loaded the config once more and put the drive at x6 again, and backups are still working ..., finally i tried config 1.1 and 1.2 after that but still no luck with those, I think it's definitely a chip problem
