The recent HDDVD player update is now available to download direct from Xbox.com. If you've yet to update your Xbxo 360 HD DVD, check it out as it improves not only your audio setup, but new visual settings are added as well. For full instructions on how to update from Xbox.com, follow the link.

I have an update for HDDVD is called my ps3.
Can always stick my sandwich toaster next to my ps3 and have that professional HDDVD add on look!

I downloaded the update from the xbox site, inserted the cd into the 360. It pulled up the installation screen but it didnt do any update status or anything. It basically just booted the disc and said "press A to eject". Did anyone else that downloaded the update online get any status screens?

You get that when you burn it as an Image file or as a PHF or whatever it was again. Try burning it just as Data and it should work. Gotta give them creds for this, I was annoyed that the Dashboard Updates weren't available from online except through Live like the BC updates, but it was nice that they did this, not every 360 owner has fast enough internet for Live.
