View Full Version : Xbox 360 Chatpad: How does it feel?

Some views have surfaced on the Xbox 360 Chatpad. While the one in question isn't 100 per cent identical to what will appear in the shops, it's seen to be a pretty fair representation. Reports say that thankfully, the Chatpad doesn't get in the way at all or messes up the weight balance of the controller. The buttons are also backlit with a pleasignly minimal impact on the wireless controller's battery life.

The special headset packed with the Chatpad has yet to be seen. Either way, exactly 1/3 of X3F staff (We bet you can't guess who) is all about the IMing whilst gaming, to the point of having a USB keyboard handy to make use of the overlay window for quick conversations. Have any of you slowly warmed up to the idea of IMing while you game?

I want one, but going by the prices of the current accessories, this thing is gonns be expensive. I would say 30-40 canadian dollars.

This is a definite purchase for me.

I just don't understand why they can't make the existing headset work with this peripheral ... it's nuts that they would require you to use a different one!

Not that it affects me that much as I use the wireless headset anyway .. but still.

well not really i just sold my 360 on ebay for £410 so ive brought a new premium which i will keep for on line play as i had a couple of originals any way like gow an rb6,an with the change i brought a core pack 2nd hand that ive modded to play back up again(sold the one as it was banned an i lost my fw key).

so i would say nice one to m$ for bringing the ban out in the first place as out of the sale ive manged to get 2 360's an try b4 i buy aswell.
