Here's some more goodness from the Ubidays event. Check out this pretty thorough gameplay video of the Ubisoft exclusive Xbox 360 title, Splinter Cell: Conviction. Take a close look at the fantastic lighting and animations of the game, and more importantly see how different the gameplay is from previous games of the series. The version Ubi showed was still early in development but, boy oh boy, does it look sweet?

yes it looks cool.
it becomes more and more like mgs, but, with an identity which is unique in its own right.
bring it on i say.
usualy ubisoft dont mess around when it comes to releasing games after they start releasing gameplay footage.
look at what they did with graw2 it came out what?5 months after the first one,or something like that.

I read that about 5 times and...where's the fanoyism? Because he copy and pasted what they said about it from xboxde? rofl. Bet you didn't care to check before you just started throwing accusations, huh? What a surprise.
Either way, I'm only excited about this because it's again from the department who made Chaos Theory. I couldn't have given a crap about Double Agent, and good thing too, it wasn't that good.
PS, Stop_Loading, you're wrong. It was announced last year at E3 that Splinter Cell 5 (Conviction now) will be 360 exclusive.

this looks good, smooth gameplay [apart from the small glitches that they'll iron out], and doesn't look linear either. I see they've imported the 'public stealth' idea from assasins creed.
good on ubisoft.

It is not to the levels of MGS, but undoubtedly the best for 360 in that sector.

as much i despise fanboyism...especially for the 360, you're wrong...my friend. Splinter Cell 5 will be seeing the light of day on the PC as well.
Also, that's BS that Splinter Cell 5 cannot exceed development progress for the PS3 b/c i mean...from that video, that's nothing even if that's early in development. Oh and by the way, ever wonder the true reason why they are not releasing it for the PS3???
HINT HINT...MGS4 ;)
So in other words, SC5 will be the "stealth" killer app for the 360 and MGS4 for the PS3...and of course, hands down MGS4 will dominate b/c after all, there would be no SC without MGS

Um...in case you didn't know. PC and Consoles are 2 different platforms. Meaning the 360 gets it exclusively for consoles, has always been that way. And besides it's going to be exclusive for Games for Windows anyway, meaning it's still exclusive for Microsoft. And I wouldn't say that's the reason, anyone who knows anything about Splinter Cell knows the franchise was originally created for the Xbox only. But Ubisoft got soft and eventually released it on all consoles. To say SC wouldn't excist without MGS, that's stupid. It wouldn't exist without MG, yes, not not MGS. Comparing the 2 in general is stupid because SC is a lot more Stealth than MGS has ever been. MGS is about staying out of sight, SC is about staying out of clear sight. MGS is about Action, SC is about stealth, as in you go in to NOT be seen ever. MGS is more about killing, SC is about preserving life.

Did ~I~ say DCRider? :p  It's quite obvious who you meant considering everyone above you was doing the same thing and called DCRider a fanboy. I think it's clear that noone knows what fanboy is, and they think it's someone who resembles themselves.
