Valve cancel the Black Box edition of Half-Life 2

Valve's Doug Lombardi has said that the Black Box edition of Half-Life 2 has been cancelled. The edition was due to contain Half-Life 2: Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2. Lombardi said, “We’re going to have one package, The Orange Box, available on the 360 and PS3 (US$ 59.99). In addition to the three new products — Portal, Team Fortress 2, and Half-Life: Episode Two — The Orange Box will also contain the full version of Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode One.” In other words, if you want it all, you're gonna have to pay more for it.

So this means that you can't buy these games for PC? And if they do, the box is going to contain Half life 2 and Ep 1, which for many Hl2 fans, they already have... I'm just hoping they can be bought separate.

Edit: Just read the Article on the techshout site, and aparently you buy the orange box, and you get codes for downloading the 3 new games, and then give away/sell episode 1 and Half life 2

So they dont come in the same box you buy HL2 + HL2:EP1 and you just download them to your hardrive from the codes??

Oh and how much will it be english money?

Other than TF2 are any of these games multiplayer if you lot know?

its still a deal anyway you look at it. Only a fool would buy it on the 360 (PS3?) you will miss out on ALL of the mods....

As long as valve doesn't bottleneck their games to compensate for weak ass console like the Ps3 and the 360 it's completely up to the buyer IMO

I know, I watched the trailer online but wasn't that impressed but once I saw it on G4's On Demand, it plays very smooth and looks extremely fun. I think I'd pay 50 bucks just for that. Let us hope that it's not short. I could see that happening, but Valve is famous for making all their HL products long, somtimes too long. Opposing Force was really long for an expansion pack, so I only played it once.
