Chronicles of Riddick: Next gen remake on the way

Starbreeze has confirmed that The Chronicles of Riddick will be making it's way to the current generation of consoles. Assault on Dark Athena will see the light of day on the PS3 and the Xbox 360 at some point in 2007. It's reported that the title will include 50 per cent more single-player content as well as an online multiplayer mode. Standard fare really. The original title appeared on Xbox and the PC to critical acclaim.

lol,I liked chronicles of riddick especially the prison part.I hope this game is in a prison.i want this game to be like the tv series prison break

the original was quite cool.. draggin bodies in a first person, etc.. 50% extra gameplay is like gettin 2 games for the price of one.. just hope that 50% extra has something new.

Thankfully, I don't believe they're absolutely right here. It's not going to be a remake but a full fledge sequel since Vin started shooting Chronicles of Riddick 2: The Underverse this past month. :) I hope this game is set in Cremetoria like the first movie, that'd be a cool place to play in. I'd say the first game was definitally the best movie to game adaptation to date. Unless you count E.T.

Seen the first what? Movie or Game? If you haven't played the game yet, you should, it's really good. Not as good as Breakdown but it's a great game. Movie wise, the first movie in the Chronicles was actually Pitch Black. Which was a different genre of movie then the Chronicles of Riddick movies are, It was a Horror movie which was done very nicely. I suggest seeing both if you haven't seen any of them. Riddick is the first character Vin Diesel ever played as in a full role, and it fits him best IMO. But a lot of people bash on him, anyone who sees Find Me Guilty will have a different light about him, he's actually a good actor.

HELL YEAH! The first one was one of the best FPS games I've played. It has so many cool features, good voice acting, and great puzzles. I was bummed that it wasn't backwards compatible, but now I know why. I'll gladly pick this up when it comes out.

I'm a big fan of Pitch Black, but didn't really care for Chronicles of Riddick...until I saw it a second time. Glad to hear they're making a new movie. I can't wait!

The one thing that I loved about Chronicles of Riddick was when he broke the Shiv off in Colm ferrororororrr however you say his last name's head. Awesome scene.

What timing! Just finished Chronicles of Riddick yesterday on my PC. Excellent game, hope this remake makes it to PC as well. :cool:

There were a lot of underrated/overlooked games for the Xbox. Otogi, Otogi 2, Breakdown, UC, UC2. But that's what you're to expect when you have the PS2 opposing it.
