ok guys whats the crack on this, i got a little lcd screen for my gf to play her gamecube on by 4gamers, seems like f'ing thing dosent support PAL60, is it me or is that really stupid considering somegame some do pal60 right? running a qoob inside it , any way i can force NTSC games to run as PAL50, i do this with the xbox and yah i know the gc isnt an xbox, but can any one shed some light on the subject, i really dont wanna have to buy her a tv

q00b 1.3 supports forced video modes. i dont think the compatibility is good though.

Well the compatibility is good considering the feature has only JUST been implemented and I'm sure it will be improved.

yeah just tried it, kill res evil ntsc to pal and killed mario to pal, lol, hopefully will end up like the xbox video mode changer

NTSC->PAL is much more problematic than vice-versa.
The problem is that PAL requires more memory for the framebuffer (increased resolution compared to NTSC - the higher refresh rate on NTSC doesn't require more memory).
So if there's enough memory for PAL, there is enough memory for NTSC, but not vice-versa in all cases.
Second thing is that most PAL games are conversions from NTSC, so they were designed with NTSC in mind, maybe even have a PAL60 mode integrated.
NTSC games, however, were never made to run in PAL.
