Ok guys first post so go easy.......

Some nice new features with the new BIOS but I'm having problems .....

Check disc no longer works, I press and hold A, but when I let go it simply takes me into the new menu.

When I'm in the main menu I have no way of booting a game DVD, without power cycling, with V1.2 I would simply insert the disc then press the A button.. easy as pie!! (this no longer works in the initial QOOB screen either)

I used the new version of the QOOB flasher V1.3 rev 1, I have tried both the .gbc and the update .elf files, just in case of corruption.

I have a DOL-001(eur) version of the cube.

I have reverted back to v1.2 for now.

Does these problems ring true with other users or do I have a local issue?

Everything follows equal, the games that remained frozen by the sound problem now continue being frozen (naruto 3, blue racer....)

Disc check works fine for me. I held a while turning on the Cube.
In the Qoob main menu, there are 4 choices. The top one is boot. You can boot from there.

Your quite right you can hold ‘A’ button whilst powering up the cube to do a disc check, didn’t spot that, but I preferred it as it was in version 1.2, power up, insert disc then select disk check, makes much more sense to me.

As for booting a game, I really meant loading a game, the main menu has a boot option but if I select it I get the option for ‘Original Bios’ nothing else. It seems that once I’m in the Main menu I can't load a game, neither can I from the initial Qoob boot screen without a power cycle, this just doesn’t seem logical to me.

Am I right in thinking that once you have powered up your cube without a game disk inserted the only way to load it is by a power cycle?

I’ll be sticking with Version 1.2 for now.

That's correct. If you power up with no disc, you have to power cycle so it will show in the boot menu. You could do a L+R+Start after inserting or changing discs.
