windows xp cant connect to USB?

strange i know, modded the cube with a qoob heheh, this is my first time with a cube so i guess that makes me a cuben00b anyways, didnt work first time around, green light was on, wasnt seeing jack on screen, read the forums, put some take over the connections below the heatsinc, job done, boots into q00b screen, turned it off, unplugged it all, put it by the pc, pluged in the USB, windows cant connect, detects something but dosent appear as a qoob pro, just says its a corrupt device, any ideas guys?

When u plug in the usb, is the green led on?

yep, green light on, cube also power on properly into the qoob bios
, just seems like windows dosent understand what the **** it is :P

Are you using the newest qoob bios flashing program? Try it in another USB slot? If that doesn't work try it in a different PC.

Try to detect Qoob in another computer. If it works then it's a problem in your windows .. if not, well, then I don't know what it's.

turn the GC off, plug in the usb, when the led dont turn on ur connection between programmer and qoob is not correct.

U dont have to switch on the GC to flash the qoob.

power led is on, when just the usb is plugged in nothing else, im gonna tyr another port, adn then another puter, bk in 5 mins

can we not just whack a replacement laser assebaly into the gc, if the current one is so ****, would a replacement help? we seem to be modding everything else
