I installed the qoob pro in cube today, the chip load the bios 1.2 and all ok.

But when I turn On my Cube, it's don't work, it's shows a black screen no logo, no sound, no disk spin, just de chip turn on, the cube power led too, the cooler works, but the black screen don't move, the disk don't move...;(

Someone can help me?

do you have a green led on on your qoob chip when you turn the gamecube on ? if no, you don't have power on the chip, make sure all the connection is ok.

Well, the led on the qoob chip turn on and don't turn off.

I uninstall the qoob and without it the GC works well.

Your not keeping the USB cable plugged in are you? You are either not inserting the wire harnness all the way into the chip(see the picture below, where the wire harness is inserted all the way), or one or more of your solder points is not good enough. Also make sure that neither the yellow or purple wire is touching the heatsink(if you have a rev. a/b cube).

EDit: I don't have the picture anymore, somehow it got deleted, along with over 2000 family pictures:(

I don't know if the bridge is the same for qoob, but with viper you don't need to solder the bridge if you have a bba attached to your cube.

Like XbOxMoDdeR said, be sure that the 2 wire on the chip dont touch the heatsink.
I got same problem, without heatsink qoob was working, but when i put it back (the heatsink), GC didnt boot anymore.
I put some paper and it s been working like a charm ;)

Just make sure you put the heatsink back after you test it out;)

Any idea if the bootup qoob bios needs to be loaded into slot one, or does it just load the first one it comes across?
