HELP!!!!!Wii BROKE?????

I installed a wiikey and then when i placed a cd inside it just made a noise instead of spinning and came back out. then i tried original cds and it did the same. So i took apart the wii and took out the chip and still the same issue. whats wrong? is it possible that i may have burnt a point with the solder and if so how do i fix???

yeah i mean dvd. the first dvd was the wiikey dvd, then i tried wii sports. and i noticed that the dvd drive doesnt spin just shakes inside and gets ejected.

Verify your solder work. If you used quicksolder, well damn, not much of a way to check to see if points are bridged. well, there is, but they'll be hard to spot with such close proximity to the PCB.

make sure you but the dvd copper ribbon back correctly and make sure it is secure

i checked all wires and they are in but still same problem even without the chip.

ok, remove the lid, but leave the drive connected, then plug in the leads, and insert a disc. if it sucks it in, but not quite all the way and makes a mad clicking noise, and then ejects the disc, its one of two things.

if all is ok, then i fear a tooth has snapped off one of the cogs, me and another member had the same problem. Not much you can do about it .
