Wiikey installed but not reading backups.

Hi I am new to the board but been reading so i could ready my self installing my wiikey. :D

I just installed my wiikey yesterday ,with little experience on soldering. Everything seemed to go well when soldering. When I closed it up and put the wiikey disc setup 1.2v it read it fine. But when i put a backup in it wont read. I am not sure if it is because i used cheap dvd+r media or something went wrong when installing. I burnt both my backup and wiikey setup disc on the same type of media (cheap Lg dvd+r at 2x)

Any help would be much appreciated.:D

Prob didnt burn the game right or the media is bad, try a -r.

yeah try another DVD media also if you hav another backup to try just to make sure the one you burned is not dodge.

Use dvd-r media not +r Verbatim seems to be one of the top choices on the forums .. I use memorex and haven't had too much of a problem :)

If the Wiikey setup disc consistently boots, then your install is fine.

Are you sure you burned the backup ISO correctly?

I just went to my local comp store and picked up a pack of dvd-r tdk burnt the backup and everything seems fine. guess it was the cheap dvd+ i was using :p
