Wuts crackin homeslice.

I've been working with patches and editors and such. I'm don't make programs (although I wish i could). Anyway, I'm using Pokesav v0.38b and I must have tried it a half a million times... Here are my steps
1) open pokesav, click open, and open my .dat file from Diamond
2) edit stuff blah blah then overwrite that same .dat file onto my M3 SD
3) i make sure that the .dat file isn't overwritten when M3 loads, and i start up pokemon Diamond
4) i either get the same file with no changes or it deletes my save altogether and i have to start from scratch

help would be greatly appreciated. thanx

uh, those 2 completely contradict each other:confused:

simple instructions:
copy the file elesewhere first, then:
load the .dat file, change it as you want, and push "Save" in the menu. "Save As" just complicates things.

alright. when i meant "make sure it isn't overwritten on m3" i meant that i was making sure that the m3 didn't autosave over my edited save so then all my work went to waste lol. yeah so i tried those intstructions...nothing seems to be working. i think it may be the roms i have or something. i had to do some weird patching in order to get them to work. i'm just gonna DL some from another site and mess with it, then see how that goes

alright. changed roms. still not working... if this info helps, i had to patch the rom to be read as "safe mode". i don't know if that would have any effect on the .dat file, but it's the only way that it will run on my ds lite. :( aaahhh...SOS lol
