I did the standard LED mod to the nunchuck thumb stick, and A button on the remote. Put it all back together, everything lights up fine.

Then i tested it with SSX blur, the remote works fine throught all the menus and when it loads the game it asks me to plug in the nunchuck controller, which i do.

Unfortunatly the message telling me to insert the nunchuck doesn't leave, but the light on the controller is on and so is the one on the nunchuck, so it does have power :S.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm using 3mm LED's and have done a good job on the soldering so i can't see there being any mistakes there. Could the LED have blown something that would make the nunchuck unsuable?

Will be borrowing another remote/nunchuck at some point this evening to see if its the remote or chuck thats broke.

On a side note though, I'm just charging up some bateries as they were low on power when I tested the mod. Could this simply be the problem? Will also post pics of the mod here in a bit, when the bateries have charged.

Thanks all.

I don't imagine it'll make much difference. But as I said, the batery was pretty much dead when I put it in. I'll let you know if theres a noticable difference in batery life though :). (Well if i can get it to work lol).

if done in a basic way... battery indicator won't work within wii... so u'll just notice one day the controller stops working, due to out of juice... even if it reports in the wii... u have full battery... all depends on what u used to mod...
