wii connect:help needed

hi all,

just update my wii to 2.2e,but the problem is that when i try to access the news channel or weather channel it says wii connect is turned of check your settings.

i have checked my settings and wii connect is switched on but still can not enter these channels.i can access the internet with no probs but news and weather channel is a no go.

It's probably frowned upon, but I'm going to refer you to another forum. If you go to wiinewz, search for "wiiconnect24" you will find some helpful discussions. I have the same problem (have had it for months) and have been unable to fix it.

Or if you search our forums you will find the same info, wiinewz prob stole it from our user that posted a fix months ago.

It was actually the same user that posted it over here
