hey guys

just thought i'd let you know of the find I made today while looking for the NEC burner
came across a shop in the GTA area, (located in Mississauga) that sells the NEC3520a in all colours for 69 bucks Canadian + Tax (cash price)

and for anyone that doesn't live nearby and wants to get it, they also have an online store :-D

check them out my fellow canucks @

Infonec Computers NEC 3520a (http://www.infonec.com/site/main.php?module=catalog&catID=61#71)

Not sure if they ship to the US for our yankee friends but I thought i'd let you guys know

The NEC is a superb burner, modded my cube like normal, went and got this burner, picked up the Office Depot full dvd-r media and threw in a backup rip of metroid 2 and it worked without a hiccup!

have fun :-D

disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with the company mentioned above. Just a great find! havne't seen it anywhere else cheaper in Canada.

Sweet find patelnet, wish I had seen that a couple months ago before I picked up a BenQ 1620 ;)

Ah well, the BenQ is an awesome burner for the ritek/Office Depot +R's anyway.

well i'm glad I made a difference.

its quite cheap, and they have like 3 stores within the GTA region so you should be able to find one nearby.

the burner is great by the way...burned perfect on office depot and everything else i've thrown at it so far.

keep in mind the price i quoted is in Canadian dollars, and for the canadian market that is generally a steal. cuz we mainly see products here marked up wayyy higher (even with exchange rate fluctuations) just because canadian retailers can demand a higher price due a smaller market eager to buy.

americans on the other hand have the worlds largest market with tons of retailers and competition ready to give you a deal, so in effect your prices will always be lower to you. and for canadians prices such as these are considered a steal, when most places I find in canada average around 100 bucks or more for this burner.

anyhow just my 2 cents. :-D
