Set your pot on the laser.

But since my GC never had the necessity to change the Laser POT values its possible that now sudenly it became necessary? And looking even forward and considering that its reading original / retail games normaly without any dificulty the POT thing can be the thing to do...Thnks in advance!

The laser diode eventually wears out... it has apparently degraded enough to require turning the pot down a little. Note that turning the pot down will make it degrade faster, with will require you to turn it down even more, which will make it degrade even faster, etc.. It's the classic definition of a "vicious circle", but what can you do? ;)

Well guyz...i've read enough about the procedures for changing POT values and my only questions are:
- Changing these values there is any risk for my GC stop reading even my retail games?
- About changing values UP or DOWN, how can i decide if i need to change up or down these values based on the problem my GC are showing?

Your laser may have degraded a little bit. try burning at 2x or 4x and setting the DVD type in qoob pro to type B

Setting the pot lower increases the power to the laser diode, so EVERYTHING reads better, including regular GC discs.
You monitor the pot value with a cheap VOM (Volt-Ohm Meter) from Radio Shack.
