I just got my clear case today and it looks great. I also did a small mod to the back of my case to add a usb port.... I had to use a file to make the hole so its kinda rough on the edges of the hole but it looks ok. If you look in your gamecube there is a little slot on the inside that almost looks like it was made for the Qoob USB chip cuz it fits perfect like a little shelf for it. Anyway here are the pics!

Looks pretty good! Change your power LED to a green or blue one though.

Yeah thats my next mod... i was thinking blue but then it won't match the qoobs light so mabey green is a good idea.... then it will match my xbox too.

how easy is it to make the lights a differnet colour, i was thinking of getting a clear case for my black cube (i also have a purple one!) and yours looks really cool. but the lights being blue would look very cool!!!!

Just out of Curiosity, why didn't you get a black one so that it would match your bottom, I'm not quite sure if the two really mesh too well.

What I do is just snip the old LED off, then cut the new leds legs so that they are the same length as the led that you just snipped off. Then just make sure you have the - and + legs the right way and then solder it to the little snubs of the previous leds legs on the controller board.

that doesnt look too bad i suppose (the black bottom / clear top)

out of interest is this a gamecubecase one or different? and did you have any difficulties installing it.

i`m gonna be getting a few of these next week, and thinking of selling them premodded (just the cases with LED`s fitted).

but yeah go for clue, everyone loves blue ;)

I got a clear case today also. It fits better than my other black replacement case. The lid pops up to fast though. I tried to put one screw in before I put the case on. It seemed too hard to get in like my black case. So for now, I am not putting the screws in. I drilled the holes in my black case, so I could get the screws in.
Now where can I get a replacement LED online? I saw some modchip seller that had some. But I can't find that site again.

I have about 30 blue leds, if you wanted I could sell you a couple for $0.17 each(what I got them for) + $0.50 for shipping.

I went with clear because the other ones don't have any power lights and i thought it would look cool. Black would be trying to make it look stock when its far from being stock. If I'm going to buy a new case might as well make it differnt. Besides clear goes with anything.... its clear.

Bigger is better:D It is bigger then the Nintendo one. It is a perfect fit for adult hands. And when my hands get sweaty, I turn on the built in fan.

How many hours of battery life do you get with the fan running? I get 100+ with my Wavebird, but thats with no fan or rumble.

The batts. that came with it only lasted about 4 days with heavy fan usage. I put Energizers in over a month ago, and they are still going strong with minimal fan usage. One minute after I turn off the Cube, the controller shuts off automatically.

Cool.

I just noticed that the dpad and joystick are switched. That would bug the crap out of me, thats why I hate the ps2 controller.

I agree. Have you seen where the analog is located on the psp? It looks like it would be super uncomfortable to use.

It bothered me also. But I am so used to it now. This is a great controller. I love how the joy sticks feel. It has two Z buttons. And I love that fan when my hands get hot. I am getting another one for my other Cube.

Hmmm...I don't think it's going to last on ebay for a long time though because modchips are against their rules.

nitroxeno

yeah i was hopping i could sell it before they caught it... guess not. I even said it was for development purposes and not for piracy yet there are other people on ebay selling xboxs that come right out and say "you can go rent a game and copy it to the xbox hard drive and its yours forever!" lol i don't know how they get away with that.... ebays out to get me.

People sell modded consoles on eBay as 'enhanced consoles'.

They usually get away with it too and in the item description they say 'email for more info on enhancement' etc.
