I soldered properly, and is showing Qoob commercial bios at startup.

I used the flasher to get BIOS 1.2 on 'SLOT1'.

First question: How do I get the Qoob 1.2 bios to be the default? I keep having to switch to the bios by holding down the B button.

2nd question: is 1.2 the best bios for playing backups right now?

3rd question: I am playing w/ the lid off, using full sized dvd-r. Some games startup to black screen and never start. Other games (viewful joe) startup, get to memory card check, etc, and then go into infinite black screen and dvd keeps spinning. What am I doing wrong? I'm just burning the ISO or .GCM -> .ISO staright to DVD using nero. Anything else I'm missing?

1. Erase the BIOS block first. Then you can write the newer bios to it.
2. Yup
3. Could be bad media, bad burner, etc.. Run the disc check to verify it. Did you burn the image with the Finalize CD option?

1rst : In the flash app, the first "block", the one on the upper left corner must be the bios. You need to click on the Erase button, click on the first block to delete it. After, click Write, go find your bios and click on the first block to write.

2nd : In my pt of view, yep

3rd : Humm, if your GCM iso has no garbage, it won't work, it seems the best guess. Get an un-wiped ISO.

UPDATE : For answer 3, I meant if your ISO doesn't have garbage, it may be the problem. I fixed it.

Thanks for the responses!

I have no idea how to get an 'un-wiped' iso. Where can I read up on how to clean an iso.

I dont think that you have bad isos as some of your games boot others not and the ones that boot wont play at a certain point. I´m sure this is a media issue. Tell us what burner/DVD combination you are using. Remember that for most ppl a Ritekg04 (dvd media id) and NEC 3520A (burner) combination works best.
