I think we should make a gamecube compatibility list so that those that are considering buying a WIIKEY know the truth before being duped. This is tentative until when and IF they release a fix
Please post the Region of the gamecube game, if it was shrunk or not and if it works.
I will start
On a NTSC USA WIIKEY modded WII

By "Loading Method: Normal" do you mean booted off its own DVD-R or used on GCOS DVD too?

obviously your extensive testing didn't catch the bug that makes the game freeze ... how long did you even play it for? because it freezes after we switch on the playing field.

I never said I tested it extensivly as I havent had time, and to be honest I wasnt even aware of any glitch with the game until I went back to play. I DID NOT test it extensivly and I stand corrected the error did occur to me as well when we went to switch on the playing field. I apologize about the confusion and will remove it from the "Working" List above.
Again I am sorry about the confusion.

All these games work so well with Wiikey because Wiikey has "built-in audio fix".
Wiikey isn't gonna do crap about it until people start emailing the hell out of them on their site. Many people on the "official site" are starting to believe that the Wiikey team have no intent on ever updating the firmware... hence... no fix. You know... they gotta wait till they can disable the clones.

Wiikey
Verbatim dvd-r 16X
burned at 4x and 8x
NTSC USA Wii
Eternal Darkness - DREs
Mario Baseball - random freezes
Mario Kart - Double Dash - works flawlessly
Mario Sunshine(PAL) - choppy animation, must use disc swap(havnt played for more than 5 minutes
Metroid Prime 2(PAL) - a little choppy....was working though (also played for about 5 minutes)
any way to fix these errors and slow animation? Just bought Taiyo Yuden's dvd-r 16X and was wondering if that'll make things better

why don't u use NTSC "backups" instead? considering you have a NTSC wii
-poor cpu performance
-dvd burner is set in PIO mode not DMA
-buffer underrun issues (ru using your computer when burning the discs?)

Wii NTSC-U
None shrunk
All working fine so far:
Mario Kart Double Dash
Auto Modelista
Pikmin
Viewtiful Joe
Animal Crossing
All are NTSC region.
I managed to get Bleach GC: Tasogare Ni Mamieru Shinigami and
Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 to work on a PAL Wii installed with wii key.
Installed Wiikey update 1.9b which has been leaked to a few sites then used the configuration disk Setup disc v1.2 (Universal PAL/USA/JAP) available on the wii key site.
Loaded the setup disk went into config and selected region override ON saved settings then went into GcOS MB and it asks to enter a disk so put the disk in and selected A for auto detect. Games loaded fine and saved data came up fine as well.

The truth is they ALL can work with wiikey just fine..
Two things you need: the wiikey leaked UPDATE, and GCOS.
Guys if you just burn these games and many others mentioned here on a gcos multiboot disc using emukidd's version they all work fine!
GCOS is a perfect workaround for region issues (like a pal game on NTSC etc). Audiostreaming games like ikaruga and eternal darkness work PERFECTLY after you update your wiikey.
This thread does not show us the true compatibility like this.
wiismybaby: crashes and DRE's are either caused by bad media or a non-updated wiikey and audiostreaming games. update your wiikey.
My suggestion to you guys would be to re-do all your games after you update your wiikey to the leaked version which fixes audio streaming and use gcos always. THEN post your results.
Games that are audio-streaming AND ARE THUS FIXED by UPDATING YOUR WIIKEY:
1080 Avalanche
Ace Golf
Alien Hominid
Aquaman
Bomberman Generation
Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex
Crazy Taxi
Dragon Ball Z: Sagas
Dragon's Lair 3D
Eternal Darkness
Fantastic Four
Future Tactics
Geist
Ikaruga
Judge Dredd vs. Death
Legend of Zelda: Collectors Disk (in menu)
Lost Kingdom
Lotus Challenge
Mario Baseball
Namco Museum
Naruto Games, the
Pikmin 2
Resident Evil 1
Smugglers Run: Warzones
Star Fox Adventures
Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Street Racing Sysdicate
Super Monkey Ball
Super Monkey Ball 2
Sum of all Fears, The
Swingers Golf
Tak and the Power of Juju
Tony hawk 3
Universal Studios Theme Park
Wai Wai Golf
Waverace Bluestorm
Worms Blast
Wreckless : Mission Yakuzas

Bumping the topic to ask a question
I tried running Virtua Striker NTSC on my PAL Wii with Wiikey. I tried the following:
- Boot with Wiikey setting refresh rate at 50Hz. Failed.
- Same but with refresh rate set at 60Hz. Failed.
- Using GCOS. Failed again.
Is there any way to run this game?
The truth is they ALL can work with wiikey just fine..

Did you read what manias posted. All games work fine.
Reburn the games on some better / different media without any other programs running. Should be fine
Holy sh!t, I had no idea that all of these GC games were still not working with Wiikey after their 6 month delayed update. And I had so planned to finish Eternal Darkness.
I really do feel duped, especially compared to Cyclowiz with the Galaxy update. I might rip that POS out and put a Cyclo in, what a shame!
This post should be stickied.
(I take this all back if manias is right and you guys just didn't update your Wiikey before testing )

I always burn a dvd with all other applications closed. :)
I'll try burning it with different speed and I'll post again later.
[edit]: finally it's working using multiboot GCOS. Yayyyyyy. :D

Note the date of the original post--it's OLD. Virtually all GC games work with WiiKey now. There is still a small number of Japanese games that are playable but won't let you save because they require a Japanese IPL (Mr. Driller, Donkey Konga 2, etc).

So it means that I shouldn't worry about the things they said before?

Is this supposed to work? I thought it was, but I popped in my backup, and still have messed up audio. Is there any way to fix this?
I tried a GCOS copy of Eternal Darkness, I still get that screeching at the Poe quote at the start of the game. Am I supposed to turn off the audiofix of the Wiikey or something? I thought they fixed that in 1.9b and 1.9g...
Thanks.
