OK, no idea what happened here... but I installed a CycloWiz v2 with a upgrad switch last night. No problems whatsoever and it works like a charm. Prior to the installation I turned off WiiConnect24 and remove the battery. After installation I reinserted the battery and tested the console... worked great. Started reassembly and realized I forgot to install the screw underneath the battery cover. So I remove the battery cover (no problem there) but the batter is stuck in the Wii. Tried to pry it out and it was a no go. Finally ended up reassembling it and the console works fine... but I would like to fix the battery incase I ever need to remove it again. Any ideas on how I can get it out without busting the Wii?

did you unscrew the other screw next to the battery all the way before trying to remove it? There is the cover screw and the one next to the battery for a total of 2 screws which need to be removed/loosened to take the battery out

Yea, I thought I had. I mean, you're talking about the one underneath the battery cover? Or is there another one?

yea the one under the battery cover.. sometimes you have to unscrew it a little more for it to come out since the screw itself does NOT come out all the way

k... managed to get it out. Took apart the Wii and removed a few screws for the motherboard above where the battery is stored. Lifted up the board and used a magnet to pull the battery out. Everything now works fines. Thanks for the help!
