Trouble with GC-games with Wiikey

Hi guys! I'm having trouble with some GameCube games on my wiikey-modded PAL WII. Ikaruga started up fine but crashed after 30sek of gaming. And Super monkeyball 2 crashed right after logo. They are both burnt on DVD5 DVDs.

Is it my wii/wiikey/media or can the Wii only handle GC-games on those 8cm-discs?

Wiikey is broken. I've been complaining to Wiikey for weeks about this issue. A bunch of GC games will not work with the Wiikey installed. It's not just copies either the originals won't work either. It's a disgrace. All Wiikey are going on about is clones and telling people to buy the official one because of quality and support. What support, I've been waiting for a fix for this issue for weeks and sent them 4 emails about it and no reply or anything.

Just wondering which originals have you tried...Ikaruga? Did you try the originals with the audio fix turned off? Did they work before you put in the wiiKey?

I had the same problem when burning backups with my Pioneer 111d with Verbatim +r's at 4x or 16x; however, burning backups at 16x on Great Quality +r's (Fry's In-House cheap brand) gave discs that worked fine. It was odd to me since the Verbatim +r's work great for Wii backups. Hope this helps.

I have a problem with Mario Baseball, all the backup's lockup when the game tries to show a replay after a homerun or something. I have a Wiikey.

I have a post on this board with no responses that states basicly the same thing. 100% success with Wii and 0% success with Gamecube games and the wiikey. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. Like I've stated before emus seem to work but true games do not. I'm hoping a firmware update to the wiikey will fix these issues.

Yes... also tried it with tons of games. Eg. games like Naruto Clash of Ninja 1 & 2 will hang on the player loading screen (demo). Ikaruga (original) will hang during after the 1st chapter. This is truly the problem of wiikey....

I've tried a few of my GC games, all NTSC versions on a PAL Wii and have problems ranging from the games not starting at all to freezing. F-Zero stops at a black screen when you try to start a race.

I don't play my old GC games that often, but thankfully I still have my old GC if the need arises. :p

Would be nice to see an update soon that fixes these problems though.

hi dude... have you tried using different games on some games that i mentioned ? do you think its only a matter of the media ?

If not, wiikey is a failed product !!! GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK!!!

i swear i am NEVER buying a XENO product again. What irks me the most is that ... why stifle consumers with a lame excuse on why an update has not been released? it's not their fault that they bought a clone, when they infact paid the full price. Secondly how are they ensuring QUALITY to their consumers by NOT releasing the fix.

It's false advertising to state that the chip supports gamecube games and audio fix when SEVERAL GAMES DO NOT WORK!

And then they complain about groups like team xecuter, flaming them on ripping off consumers. HELLO, assholes... you continue to rip consumers off by lying about the features of your chip and not releasing a fix. if there is no fix, i hope no one EVER buys a team xeno product in the future. i certainly won't and i will remember this and tell all my friends as well.
