Hi, Ive recently bought myself a modded wii from Japan. I have got myself hands on a few backups, however, even though they say they are NTSC USA, they seem to be in Japanese language. The following games are the ones like this:
Red Steel
Super Monkey Ball
Sonic and the secret Rings

Although these do this, there are alot of other backups that dont. Does anybody know why this happens? Is it because my Wii is Japanese? Is there any way of getting these games in English? All help is appreciated. Thatnks in advance.

Try to set you console language to english. Don't know if that will help but it were I would start.

A simple google search, it turned up that you cannot change the language at all. Nintendo support said they don't have any reason to put english language on a japanese wii. so that pretty much sucks ass.

yes, I understand about the Wii firmware being Japanese, but why do the games themselves have to change language aswell???

nope, you cant change the language, since the wii is set to japanese.

That's pretty stupid; the language from the game depends on the system language, but the same can't be done with the video modes for some reason. If I set 480p EDTV I expect all the games to also be in that format but they seem to switch themselves to 480i:rolleyes:
