Hello,
I have installed my WiiD modchip, and the solder points are good,
dubblecheckt, (i've done it with wire's)
But i have burned a backup on a Platinum DVD-R 16x (i burned it at 4x) but
when i insert the disc it says error cant read this disc...
I Have tried it with a DVD+R Platinum 8x but they are 1mb to small... so i
cant burn it. EDIT: I tried with IMGburn now (nero before) and i puttet a game on a DVD+R but when i insert it in my WII it doesn't play.
But when i put update 1 on DVD+R platinum 8x (burned at 4x) it spin a
while
and then it gives an error that i have to remove the disc and put the wii
on
and off.
Do you have any solutions.

Well, i have done that BUT, when i click on channel, put the DVD+R (platinum 8x, burned at 4x) in the disc spin just 3/4 seconds, and then then it says: Can't read disc. I thought that was good, but when i putted a backup in my wii, the same message appeared. (unable to read the disc, check the.......)
????
P.S. If i burn an ISO Image with imgburn and put the thisc in the computer and open it. There is NOTHING on the disc ? i do have a good DVD-R disc with red steal on it, tested it but didn't work: unable to read the disc, check the.....

I have used dvd-r and +r from Platinum and tried a dvd-r from Mitsubishi.
I burned them in Nero, just as data dvd and i tried burn an image, both don't work. I have used IMGburn but that doesn't work also.
When i insert the 2 discs that i burned with IMGburn and Nero (burn an image) windows tells me there is nothing on my DVD. How do you burn the things ?

you should be burning with NERO as "burn image"
your media may be the problem ...
windows SHOULD NOT see any data on the disc

Yes, Finalized.
And then i burned it good... But i opened my WII to look at the modchip and i putted the modchip out. I'm now gonna bring the WII + The Modcip to a store and there they solder it in for me.
Thanx for your help anyway.
