What the hell difference does it make as long as they get the job done??
I've seen so many posts on here bashing this chip or that one, but in reality, they all accomplish the same thing. Nit picking over this insignificant feature or that one seems kind of pointless. I've got a cyclowiz and it works for what I use it for. The rest of the chips would as well, the cyclowiz is just the one I went with. I think this whole chip war is lame when all of them work just fine. I can understand how some people feel that the cyclowiz is getting a push from MC, but from what I understand, that was the ONLY chip they were given a free sample of. I can kind of understand fanboyism in regards to one console over the other (although that's kind of crap too), but in regards to chips?? WTF???

Well I have a Wiikey installed in mine and never had a different chip. Im very much satisfied and even if i COULD use a different chip, I wouldnt. This gets the job done and has not screwed me over on a game yet - GCN or Wii.

True enough:
All chips do th same thing or will ( wiifree, etc. )
But issues lies in the installs, from what i have seen, more people fubared a wiikey install due to the quicksolder pads not present on PCB properly, removal lifted pads.
Cycolowiz requires a switch, how many people instaleld with improperly or used wrong switch and blew up chipset on Wii. Or bridges reset button wire.
How many people with wire install tape down wire and chip....
How many people in the homebrew market screw up installs, not many as expereince homebreweres and know howto solder.
But in the end all chips do the same or will, but install is key issue of a successful chip, as one wire not making proper contact will cause it not to work or function properly.

That list is very out dated,
DVD upgrabable, region free sections, GC AUDIO Fix, disable feature are all old speculation and require update.

Well the person who did the list either hasn't updated it or didn't care that some things he has written in there were pure speculation like cyclowiz v1 not upgradeable or wiikey having gc audio fix. The other stuff has also been proven false too but these are just the basic problems like wiininja does support multi image discs and regionfree partial compatibility is present all across the board.

Pretty much. Although a couple of notes on the cyclowiz (sorry, that's the only one I have).
1. I'm under the impression that the upgrade fixed the DVD-ROM Access Speed issue and it now runs at 6X.
2. Upgrade via DVD has been proven.
3. Number of solder points is actually 5, 8 with the upgrade and disable wires.
4. Apparently, there were other points that I was not able to see as incorrect, see the two posts above for more corrections.
I could be wrong on these points, but from everything I've seen, this is accurate. Other than those points, the cart is accurate for the cyclowiz. Again, the other chips I'm not sure about.
By the way, my comments aren't intended to boost the cyclowiz, I frankly don't care which chip you use, but that chart is definately a helpful resource for those still looking at getting a chip.
