lg gdr-8164b driver

i received this drive today and i cant seem to find a driver for it. can anyone help?

your pc should automatically install it without the need of a disc or a setup, thats what i did with mine. unless your using something other than xp pro?

Correct, if you're using Windows and most likely you are, you don't need a driver.

u don't need a driver for it. Just hook it up and backup some games.

ok thanks....kinda thought so....cuhs mine juss came in and i forgot to read bout it but wen i saw "DVD-ROM" on tha tray i knew it.... so here is another/ few more qstns...what is tha best DVD Writer?. so far ppl sayin Pioneer is best...and my comp store has a Pioneer 112D..is that good?

any brand i guess, im using lite-on and it works swimmingly
