Is it normal for the qoob to stop responding if you dont press anything for a few seconds after boot? I have gcos 1.4 flashed to the chip as one of my applications, and if I boot to the boot menu without selecting any applications right away it stops responding. Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

Mine doesn't do that either. I let mine sit for about an hour and came back and it responded to me.

What do you guys think could be causing the problem?

*update* I just reflashed my chip to 1.0 rc4 from the Qoob website and it does not lock up on me. Only Qoob 1.1 is doing this, can you guys tell me what bios version are you guys using and where did you download it from?

Don't use the bios on the qoob website, it does not allow backups to boot. Use this website to download 1.1. Btw, I'm using 1.1

I'm using Qoob bios 1.1, downloaded from HERE (http://forums.maxconsole.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5412)

It's off these forums, but it's the same file as crumpster linked to.

Well, I've tried reflashing the bios with the links you guys provided on two different computers with no luck. I guess I'll just have to live with it and hopefully the next bios release won't do this. Thanks for the help guys.

I have the same issue...qoob 1.1 with applications installed before adding the BBA...no issues with locking up.

Add the BBA...and I get lockups after about ~5-10seconds waiting...as long as I select another function or app in the menu, within this set time frame I'm OK.

I think it has to do with a problem with network support locking it...or looking for the network...

I've ripped one of my games...and no issues..with GCOS1.4 and the ripper from 1.1; but I have to move within a certain time or it locks.

Take out the BBA and no lockups?!! go figure?

I have my BBA plugged in, it causes no problems.

Strange...can't tell you why? but with the BBA plug in & connected...it seems to randomly lock...and with it not plugged in everything is fine.

It's almost like the 1.1 bios is somehow interfering with the network...or vice versa

Version 1.0.5 of the bios doesn't lock at all...both with BBA/non-BBA

Also when I run QCOS1.4 as an application...no locks...no issues with the network....perfect...

I've been playing with different configurations/bios...good thing for the USB support!....and I continue to have locks after working for 5-10 seconds with bios 1.1 and having the BBA connected on the LAN.

same thing here, lock up with BBA. May be the router config problem? My router is D-Link 624 with wireless turned on.

I doubt its a router problem, since I have multiple PCs, and consoles that can work on it flawlessly.

It's has to be a problem within the bios 1.1 and it's interaction with the network...then why would QCOS1.4 work with the network and have no lockups?

Obviously, it's a bug in the bios 1.1, but something I can live with for now.

-Just something that the Qoob people need to be aware of...

Do you guys have the same problem with the new 1.2 bios?

I would recommend if your having problems with 1.1 and the BBA locking up, to upgrade to 1.2 bios.

I just upgraded and have had no lockups with the BBA connected on the LAN for over 15+ minutes!!

I switched back to 1.1 with the same setup...and lockups...switched back to 1.2...and no lockups. So the problems was with 1.1, the BBA installed and connected to the LAN!

Besides, Qoob Bios 1.2 is a great release! I couldn't ask for anything more!!

Great work on 1.2.

1.2 it better than 1.1, but the problem is still there. As long as i unplug the network cable it won't lock up. I check the dhcp log from the router and I just don't know why the BBA can't grab the 192.168.1.32 IP from my router.

I'll have to keep playing with it, but I had no problems with 1.2 so far. I'll keep trying to get it to lock with the BBA connected.

1.1 definately had major issues with the BBA connected on my LAN...and locked all the time.

If someone else is still having problems, then I would assume it's not fixed yet.
