Ok, I have a NTSC cube and I just installed my qoob chip. All is wonderful with the world as far as the install. All my games work wonderfully save 1. Luigis Mansion plays in black and white and is a bit off center. Is this cause it is a PAL version or is it due to a bad burn? Nothing is wrong with the game as far as functionality just that there is no color.

I dont' know if the image was pal or not so that is my only guess.

Thanks.

Sounds like you have the PAL version there.

Or just find the ntsc version and burn that, rather then buying a new TV;)

Hmm.. Then it must be true that you can play NTSC games with a qoob chip on a PAL tv but not vica versa?

I've just been playing alot of NTSC games on my qoobed cube.

Try holding the B button of your controller while the disk boots.

A lot of PAL games have this built in feature that will ask if you want to run in 60hz. PAL 60hz will run on NTSC fine. This is how I get my PAL games to run :) Not sure if luigi mansion has it or not, but its worth a try. Let me know if it works out for you.

I play on a pal, with JAP/EUR/USA --- PAL/NTSC games.

Luigi's mansion PAL original isn't a problem obviously, and I recently tried NTSC Luigi's Mansion, and that worked as well. I have a 50hz 13 yr old television.
