Wii UI (Update 12/04/07)
Here is a simple GUI to make GCOS multi game discs & PAL/NTSC patching & unscramble wii iso's
To make a multi game disc press make iso and you will be asked where to save the iso to the depending on how many games you selected will be asked for the iso paths that simple.
To make a emulator iso choose which one from the drop down menu then press build
(make sure the roms go in the rom directory, you may also need to pad out the iso)
Whats New in v1.40:
Make multi boot games using gcos for use in the Wii or GC (upto 15 images).
Build an emulator image using the built in emulators in the gui.
Unscramble Wii ISO's.
Region patch Wii ISO's.
Create a dummy file to pad out your iso if needed.
Edit GC images with GC-Tool.
Burn Your newley created iso (Requires ImgBurn Installed).
ImgBurn can be downloaded for free from http://www.imgburn.com/

Chossy, Thank you for this great tool. Can you modify Wii UI to accept more than just 4 games? I shrink my iso and I could fix about 6 to 8 games in one DVD. Thanks again.

Okay, I download another File called, GCOS MultiGame Ver... It came with a Folder called Bootable ISO, in it, it contains 3 ISOs, GCOS MultiGame Ver JAP, USA & a PAL version. Do I use this to Boot the games? or Do I use the Wii UI and Burn the games on a Disc and Directly put it into my Wii without the use of a GCOS Bootable Disc?

if u want to include more than 4 isos you can use the dos program without the GUI, its not really very hard to work it out, even for a dos noob like me.

I know how it works and most likely will use the command-line-programm anyway. But I think that the creator of this UI would like to be it as beneficial as possible.

-Make ISO > "example" Naruto
-Save As > Naruto Wii GUI
-Use Nero and Burn As Image to a DVD
-Put it into to the Wii System
-Nothing Happened :(

hi
i have added support for gcm files.
if dual layer discs work how many games will fit 6,7 or 8 ?
one thing i did notice is that it wont pick up gcos in my latestet build (c# issue) so i will hard code the path to it for now may re write in vb6 to lose the need for dot.net(i hate it).
i will post something tonight
{{909}}
03-31-2007, 05:52 AM
its doubtful dual layer games will work, as there will be issues with the layer break.
If you are going to expand the iso number, take it upto say 15, i know a number of GC games are under 150 meg, the multi i made is 7 games and one of those was 1gig so if i had tried finding some smaller stuff i could have easily made it 10.

Just a quick one
updated the app to support 8 games and have .gcm availble from drop down menu when choosing your iso
must be installed to c:\WiiUI though as sometimes it would not find the exe.
i will fix this in a later release.

Thanks man, just tried it and didn't work, i give up, i think theres something messed on my pc. I have been on another thread trying to do it their way, but had lack of information on how to do it. This one seems easy and automatic, nothing difficult at all but i keep getting an error. :(

YAY! It worked, many thanks for the tool! Alot easier then using the other method on the other thread, i was trying ALL DAY with that method and i managed to make this one work in under an hour! I made the disc and 5 out of 6 games booted:
Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix - USA - Booted.
Mario Superstar Baseball - USA - Booted.
Super Mario Sunshine - USA - Booted.
Mario Kart Double Dash - USA - Booted.
Mario Party 7 - USA - Booted.
The Legend Of Zelda Collectors Edition - Booted, but unplayable.
Any ideas why the The Legend Of Zelda Collectors Edition didn't work? Was it because it consists of about 5 different games? Also, is there anyway to get back tot he dvd menu without powering off your console?
Anyway, not a big issue. For those confused like me, this is what i did:
1) CREATE A FOLDER NAMED WiiUI AND PLACE IT INTO YOUR MAIN DIRECTORY, MINE IS C:\ SO I PLACED IT THERE C:\WiiUI.
2) INSIDE THE C:\WiiUI FOLDER, PLACE ALL THE ISO THAT YOU WANT PUTTING ONTO THE MULTI DVD.
3) MOVE THE Wii UI APPLICATION AND THE MAKE-MULTIV3 FILES INTO THE FOLDER.
4) OPEN THE Wii UI APPLICATION.
5) SELECT THE REGION SETTING OF THE ISO'S, MINE WAS USA SO I SELECTED USA.
6) SELECT THE NUMBER OF GAMES YOU WILL BE PUTTING ON THE MULTI DVD. I HAD 6, SO I SELECTED 6.
7) CLICK ON MAKE ISO AND SAVE THE FILE IN THE WiiUI FOLDER, I NAMED MINE GCOS. THEN SIMPLY SELECT THE GAME ISO ONE BY ONE THEN UPON YOUR LAST SELECTED ISO, IT SHOULD START GENERATING THE MULTI FILE.
8) BURN WITH NERO IMAGE BURN.

for vista search on google for the filename (comdlg32.ocx or whichever) and then download the single file and extract to c:\windows\system32 and then go to start -> run and type "regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\comdlg32.ocx" without quotes

First download the comdlg32.ocx file from the internet and copy it into the following folder.
windows\system32
Unrar and run the attached batch file ( under the compatability tab check the "run as administrator" box.
This will allow the dll fiel to be registered correctly.
This will allow WiiUI to run correctly.
Region patching will give you a runtime error, to correct this either run the app as an adminstrator or again use the compatability tab to always run as admin.

Hey man. I just had a quick question about using this app to create bootable rom images. I see that you have added support for NES, SNES, and others. I attempted to create one by dropping the Roms in the Roms folder, selecting the image type that matched my roms, and created the image. I then burned the image and dropped it into my wiikeyed wii. Nothing happened. It did could not use the disc from the disc channel. I then tryed using hte wiikey boot disk to load GCOS. From GCOS I selected Boot DVD. Success! However, it only saw the roms folder and I couldn't load any of them. I also could not navigate out of the Roms folder.
So my question is. How do you make this work? I am assuming that your image contains the proper emulator software when we create it. I appreciate any help!
Thanks!

that happened to me, and I think all I did was change the settings (with the setup disk 1.2) to read PAL also, and it worked

for xp you should only have to install the runtimes
for vista search on google for the filename (comdlg32.ocx or whichever) and then download the single file and extract to c:\windows\system32 and then go to start -> run and type "regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\comdlg32.ocx" without quotes
Still, I get a diff error on Vista. Error 0x8002801c:confused:

Dude, right click the executable and then choose "Run as administrator", that should solve your problem. ;)

:)
I tried this out and came back half an hour later to find it had compiled a file that took up over half of my 80GB hard drive:eek:
