Well, My poor soldering skills made my attempt at adding an upgrade wire to the S point on the wii drive, pretty bad. My friend was able to add the wire to the point, even though it would barely take. I was wondering if there is an "alternative" S point on the chip leg near point S. I made a pic of what I'm thinking of here (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v494/spyderfreek/alternativeS.jpg) Would that do the same thing?
Do i risk messing up my cyclowiz if i attempt to update and The S point doesn't work where it was *fixed* (on the board that is)?
My physical switch should be fine, it was tested with a meter, and there did not seem to be any shorts, or bridges. it is not touching any metal, and the contact points are covered with electrical tape to prevent bridging.
