In fairness, I ordered a wiikey from modchipstore.com and recieved it relatively promptly (they had some delays getting them from the supplier, not their fault). I did have some "weirdness" with my order originally, and the customer support was marginal, but they did straighten it out. I don't know that I would recomend them, but I also can't agree with the original poster. I found modchipstore.com to be adequate.

also be careful about the "solder kit" which you could also bought when you choose the modchip.
The $7.5 so called "solder kit" only contains a 5cm solder and probably some wires only. i say "probably" because they don't even send me any wires!! With $7.5 you can buy a ROLL of solder and a ROLL of 30 guage wires from Radio Shack, don't know what ppl are thinking in modchipstore.com

Not the best reseller to deal with, I will have to agree.
But as in install kits, lots of places do it, couple inches solder + 2-4 feet of 30 gauge and charge $5 USD. Its more or less for people that have no access to rat shack, or have to order online and spend $10 in shipping and $10 on solder and wires so saves them $$ with there order.

Hahaha.....I'd be happy to sell anyone 2' 30 gauge Kynar wire and 1' 26 gauge wire (for power and ground) with 2" solder for $3.50 shipped (U.S. only) all day long while supplies last:D

My only complaint is that they use DHL (aka the worst company in history). They called me on Wednesday last week and said they needed directions to my house. WTF? Haven't you heard of google maps? So I called them on Thursday morning and gave them directions and they said they would drop it off later that day. It's now Tuesday and they finally brought it. This isn't my first bad experience with them either, and I try to avoid them whenever I can.
I'm also not doing the install myself so I don't know if the chip is DOA, but hopefully it's fine.

Wow. I had the same issues. I thought I was getting a soldering Iron in the kit....nope...didnt happen. I ordered overnight shipping and well...they messed up my zipcode and I didnt get it the next day(probably DHL's fault). that was on a Friday.....so after calling DHL and complaining, they assured me I would get it on Monday. Monday came around and .....nope.... no cyclowiz. I called them again... I believe the quote was something like this "Well, it was in New York(I live about a half hour out of NYC)...then it went to North Western New york, and now its in New Jersey....I have no idea why it went there".
But the next day I ended up getting my cyclowiz and soldering kit. So modchipstore.com is fine....DHL can kiss my buttux.
BTW - I'm still waiting to be refunded for my shipping.

I baught my wiikey from modchipstore, they said that first batch was going to go out on 5th which i ashume it did i was in the second batch, they sent me a dispatch email on the 14th and recieved within the next few days shipped to UK. Also it was pritty cheap as it was almost 2USD = £1.
Was the first time i used them and i found there service fine but mayb i was lucky ;)

I disagree, i have found DHL to be fine. Last thing i got with them was also a wiikey. Came few days after dispatch, but nobody was in when deliverd so they left the usual 'we tried to deliver...' letter. There policy is to deliver next day if you contact them before 5pm the day before. My dad emailed them the following morning at 5.30am with his work adress and suprisingly they deliverd it the same day just 6hours later.
Also my 360's delivery was good and fast. But just my personal experience.

Did you try opening a ticket w/ Modchipstore? I opened two tickets about two separate issues regarding my order, and while it took them a day to reply each time, they did reply.
This is the first time DHL was used for anything I've ordered online. I was amazed that the item was shipped in the afternoon and arrived the next morning -- I wasn't even awake yet. :D
So YMMV, but other than the pushed-back ship date, I thought my Modchipstore experience was okay.

Bought two things from them... Blaster360 (pre-order weeks ago) and the CycloWiz V2... the V2 was there in 3-days (came to CA from TX)... Blaster360 I'm still waiting on but they were just shipped to suppliers I understand that wait.
As for the wire kit... thats a joke.

No issues here, chip was shipped promptly along with the wire, solder, and triwing. Chip works fine. I got an M3 simply from them with no probs either.

I ordered the chip on friday and got it on monday, haven't installed it yet. I has previously ordered an R4 from this place and the order went smooth but now it's really been a joke. I paid extra for a "wire & solder kit" which came with a useless string of solder (i already had solder and this one is too big anyway, not so much for a precission job like this one) and no wires. I thought this came with the wires and some flux at least, that was the whole point of ordering it. So basically i got screwed on that. And then, in my naive thinking of being prepared, i also ordered the screwdriver. To my surprise, the one they sent is so big i had to apply a huge ammount of force to get only some of the screws out. The 2 that are hidden inside the holes on the underside of the wii and one by the disk bay i didn't even try to get out since those ones are too well screwed and i know that if i keep using this crap screwdriver i'll probably "screw" the screw (pun intended) and be doomed. So i feel robbed. Now i just hope the chip is ok and not one of those DOA's i've seen reported from these guys =/

I cancelled my order with them because they take forever to return email. When I shop on the web , generally their is a phone number, or prompt email response.
It took them 2 days to return my email and they have no phone number. They also put a LOW priority on my email response 2 days latter, sending email to me saying that they have received my email ... and that someone will respond in time and that they considered my "request" a low priority issue! BAD business practice!:(
