I have been looking at the features for various modchips, but one thing I dont understand is the partial swap-thingy.
Boots NTSC Backups/Originals on PAL WII Partially
Boots PAL Backups/Originals on NTSC WII Partially
Boots Directly Gamecube Original/Backups Imports Partially
What does this actually mean and how do I swap?

What sort of hallucinogen are you on that makes you imagine it says swap anywhere on that quote? The Partial is about compatibility, games work now, but might not work in the future.

a partial swap means you have to put in an original, and right before the drive sucks it in all the way, you have to YANK it out as fast as you can and put in your backup.. :D Just kiddin ;)

There's indeed no reference to swapping in your quote.
All the swapping I've seen is about supporting games that have multiple discs (like resident evil on gamecube). In such games the wii/gamecube will pause and ask for the next disc.
For swapping with multi disc games is no partial support, it either does or doesn't support it.

Boots different region GC games/backups (partially without swapping)

Wasn't there a problem with different region GC games?
Partially without swapping got to mean you need to use the freeloader disc first?
