I can't get any backups to work

i got truama and red steel burned them on ridata dvd+R so I read on the forums use dvd-rs so i ordered some vebatim and bought some sony so i burned sony dvd-r nothing but unreadable disc the modship which is CycloWiz led was a solid green before i close it up also my dvd burners are pioneer 111-d and TSSTcorp cd/dvdw SH-S162a could someone help me out thanks

I'm using RiDisc DVD-R's (the blue label ones) and so far in 3 machines they have worked perfectly. I'm using a Pioneer 109 burner. Hope that helps.

Also check that your programming switch isnt switched on. If the switch is in the correct position pull the power on the Wii and wait 10sec and reconnect it and try again..

You can mostly use any program and burner to do your backups with today and they will work with your Wii.

I myself use

Imageburner (Software)
LiteON (cheap ass dvd burner)
Verbatim DVD-R burnt at 4x

Every backup have worked perfectly.

I was having the same problem. I originally burned my backups using a pioneer drive using Ridata 8x dvd's burned at 4x using Nero 7. None of the worked. I then tried some no name brand that I had lying around. Sorry not sure what it was burned using Deep Burner at 4x and they were able to be read by the Wii. Once I was able to update the Cyclowiz it read everything I threw at it. Just to let you know.
