My friend's xbox has a cheapmod with evo-x 3.6 bios. He install Phoenix Bios Loader v1.1 by this way:

1、Copy the RC4 key from v1.0 boot.cfg to v1.1 boot.cfg.

2、Transfer v1.1's boot.cfg, phoenix.raw, default.xbe and v1.0's xboxrom.bin to Xbox's c:\phoenix\.

3、Add a link to evox.ini.

The v1.1 is the legal version, unsigned. It seems most of applications are ok, but found 3 cases:

1、After run Phoenix then enter Evolution-X menu again, and still show the bios evo-x 3.6, but the kernel is ok: 1.00.4977.01. I assumed it showed bios x2 4977 :(

2、For games on harddisk, the IGR is functioned because the setting in evox.ini is correct. But for dvd games, can't use IGR function. Any idea?

3、While choose MSDASH, can't show the ms dashboard, but go back to Evolution-X again, but the settings on evox.ini is correct.

Please confirm these 3 cases, bug or any method to solve them. Thank you.

I think I can answer your questions:

1. This is normal for media booting. It does not in any way indicate an error.

2. If you are loading an X2 4977 bios, it already has IGR support, and enabling IGR in the evox.ini can cause problems. Your best bet is to stick with the X2 4977 IGR and turn off Evox IGR in the evox.ini (there are 3 places it is specified I think)

3. I would double or triple check your evox.ini settings, as this feature definately should work. I don't believe anyone else has reported this sort of problem.

Thanks for the reply.

He set the AutoLaunchGames = No, while put a DVD game into the tray, then choose MS dashboard, it will launch xboxdash.xbe, next step should run d:\default.xbe but Evolution-X controls it then back to Evolution-X.

My friend told me the 3rd case "solved". Just don't put a DVD game into the tray :D
