And here's the 16F628/16F628A ports.
The 16F628 version has been confirmed to work.
The 16F628A version is untested.

i just tried flashing this to a PIC 12f629 and it totally killed it.. well it didnt kill it, its just my programmer cant erase them so untill i get one that can im stuck with 2 crappy PIC's. but more to the point it said there was some error verifying it but when i tried v 1.50 it programmed fine to the PIC with no errors

I tried it with a 12f629 pic and it work great fast backup loading and no DRE at all. Also boot call of duty 3 and Spongebob without problem.

That'll probably be the very common problem reported in a few posts about JDM programmers (and home-made clones that use the JDM settings)
You can erase and verify if you make 1 simple change to your programmer. You'll need a cheap bit (2n7000 or similar ) that's freely available in Maplins etc.
It's here in a couple of threads I've posted on, you'll have to have a hunt about using search feature as I can't remember which posts they were.

Exactly what I did-worthwhile modification, just check the legs!
I put 1.51 on a 12F675 last night, works well. Didn't encounter any DRE's. Stuttering Wario is still there though.

The Wiifree team is working with WAB as well... so until WAB figures out how to spin the disk at 6x, then Wiifree is stuck at 4x, which means stuttering Warioware and a couple other games. All in all it's a great project though. I've got WABmodcheap now. Just waiting on the components I need to set up Wiifree.

no stuttering, however its not available for "public" use yet, and it offers not D2B support.
Could somebody post the full feature list of the Wiiskas?

I'm pretty sure it does have the stuttering problem. The only chip that spins at 6x that's out now is the Wiikey. Correct me if I'm wrong.

well according to These people (http://www.ps2-scene.org/forums/wiifree-development-forum/53948-no-shuttering-wiiskas.html) it doesnt.

Well giddy up then and try it.
the WiiFree, Wiiskas as well as openwii are ported to the 12f629 PIC microcontroller. Youll have to double check wether the wiring schematic is the same for all three. If it is, then its a simple matter of reburning your PIC with each of the 3 hex files and popping it into the IC socket. That way you can see first hand which works best for you.
Im doing that as we speak :)

Just want to let people know i've sucessfully programmed the pic16f628 with the simple jdm programmer using the 2n7000 in the forums with some rewiring to diff pins. however i did not see any osccal value like the 12f629 chip in the 16f628, is this ok?
btw i'm in uk and 16f628 is available at my local maplins which is why i choose wiifree. it is nicer to pick up then delivery.
will let people know if it really works once i open my wii and install the pic
