Best DVD ROM to buy to dump games? (out of the four LG's that work)

I know the following DVD-ROM's are the only ones that work:

* LG-8164b
* LG-8163b
* LG-8162b
* LG-8161b

However is one better than the other? And does any certain firmware need to be used?

(PS: Is +R or -R recommended for Wii backups?)

They are problably all as good as eash other but 8164 might be better as its newer...

my GDR-8162b dumps them in just uner 2 hours but i guess they all do that so theyre all the same

Thanks and have people been having good luck with +R's? I would imagine those work better as they did in my GC, but I'd like to know as a fact.

My 8164-b seems to work great.

I'm actually having problems with DVD+Rs, I'd recommend sticking with DVD-R

Yeah that's a great question about the GC as well though I doubt it.

I can't believe -R's are better. Usually being able to set the bitsetting makes a big difference.

i dumped with lg 8164B and it did it nicely. it took about 2hours or something. ;)
