Playing GC backups with Wiikey

sorry to start a thread on this, but i can't get the info anywhere.

Wiikey says gamecube imports work (partially without swapping)
swapping? do i have to use a regionfree disc? If so, is there a homebrew version of the disc, seeing as it might be possible, i don't have one :(

anyway. i do have metroid 2 usa (backup) trying to play on my pal wii. shows a GC disc, but reboots when i try load. Tried the swap method (with a pal resi 4, also a backup) but does the swap method even work with backups cos i can't get it to work!

anyhelp on this?

i cant get waverace usa version to work on my pal wii with wiikey, not even when using the gcos bootdisc :(

I have a Wii Pal with a WiiKey. Enabled region-free settings.
90% of my old GC-backups (USA) don't work. You can start the GameCube mode from Wii Menu but the screen turs out black.

Why?

i cant get Naruto 2, 3, or 4 to work. Tried eith just burned on RiTEK G04 and the GCOS Multi DVD tool.

burning mine on verbatims at 2x. i tried 50hz, 60hz and progressive scan, all rebooting. Maybe metroid 2 just doesnt work on import, but when i had a cube i had a usa metroid with freeloader and it worked, so surely it can't be that. Might try using a friends freeloader tomorrow, but i heard u need the newest one. Oh well. Its just that european games on the cube wouldnt run in progressive scan so i really wanted to try it on my wii!

Metroid 2 works for me on my cyclowiz PAL wii using GCOS

I Get theM to boot on y NTSC wii, wiikey< but it either frezes at soMe loading, or i get a black screen with white text error, burned on sony and verbatiM dvd-r
and The gaMes are ntsc/j and should work 100% on My ntsc/us console

For some reason about 90% of my backuped gc games dont work most of them cause the wii to "shut off" but it's not really off it just goes to the tv like my inputs are switching but the will is still on and spining and then other times I just get a green screen

I have NTSC USA console...Metroid prime 2(pal) backup in .iso format....also Mario sunshine(PAL) backup in .iso format. I used Verbatim DVD-R 16X certified dvds. I use wiikey 1.2 and turn regionfree on. Save settings, then reset console...my wii itself stays on, but it looks like its off on my TV(blue screen), then the wii reboots and I change discs to (METROID OR SUNSHINE), the top left window shows a gamecube game. I click start and the game will not boot. My wii stays on but does not function, so a power down is needed to restart. In Mario Sunshine the audio will play, but no video to a blue screen.

EDIT: mario kart double dash (NTSC) works fine after regionfree is put on.

What do I need to do here?

my metroid 2 usa black screens on my pal wii and restarts. But if I use the gcos on the 1.2 wiikey disc it works fine.
