Modchipstore.com and Wiikey

So, for those unfortunate enough to have not received their Wiikey from modchipstore.com, they are supposed to ship (and I quote) "for sure" today.

I'm usually not one to complain, but I'm getting impatient considering the fact that they fail to give us any specific reasons why they are delaying shipments for the chip.

So I'm curious:

Has anyone received a confirmation of their order being shipped TODAY or have they received any emails that can update modchipstore.com's current status?

Gave up with them the other day. Ordered from eurasia this morning- shipped this morning. Dissapointed with modchipstore.

Mine also still shows an estimated May 9-12 shipping, the 12 being the "for sure" date they claimed. No e-mail, no credit card activity, no update on the website. AFAIK nothing happened at all.

I'm trying to be patient and understanding, too, since they claim having ot push it back to Mar 9-12 is beyond their control, but it's getting really frustrating not knowing what's going on and being told not to ask. :(

I received a DHL shipping notice today for my wiikey order from modchipstore. I thought this was great, since I ordered a cyclowiz on Jan 29th and finally cancelled the order march 5th.

I ordered mine the 6th and I didn't get any sign that they have shipped mine.

I give them two more days and if they haven't shipped by Wednesday I'm canceling my order.

Hmm. I ordered on the 6th as well. Maybe we're just behind in the queue. Would be interesting to know when those people who got shipped ordered...

I also opened a ticket w/ them to ask what's going on. I think I've been pretty patient, and as a customer I deserve to know what my order status is after the "for sure" ship date. :D ..Also in case they just forgot about me. :confused:

Monday they sent me an email telling me that they were processing it.
Today my order status is "complete": I even got a DHL tracking number.

Well, I guess this overall good news. Hopefully I'll get something tomorrow. I'm really getting anxious to get this chip in my wii.

They updated their News and said that if your order hasn't shipped, then you are in the 2nd batch, not the 1st -- even though my order says 1st batch in my Estimated date.

I actually assumed I would be in the 2nd batch before I ordered, and before I placed the order I was told that the 2nd batch would ship last week. :( Otherwise I would not have pre-ordered, since I hate pre-ordering and waiting forever.. Which I'm now doing. :(

They claim the 2nd batch will ship later this week or early next week -- wow, how precise. :p

It's hard to decide whether to wait it out, since it'll probably get here pretty quick once it does ship, or cut my losses and go somewhere else, which will probably take a while anyway. :mad:

Okay, I hear you. :D Has anyone tried to cancel an order w/ Modchipstore before? How long does that take?

The way this is going, they'll probably get around to canceling my order just before it's about to ship. :rolleyes:

I just looked at divineo.cn and i think they shows shipping after 3 days.. Ahh, guess I need to be patient a little longer no matter what I do. :o

Ordered on the 2nd. It shipped yesterday and it was delievered today. OMG that was fast for the cheapest ship method, I expected 5 days to get it to me, not next day!
BTW Wiikey is lot smaller than i thought...

Yeah me too. I FINALLY got out of my "partially processed" state to "processed" so I'm assuming it's going to be shipped today.

I also sent them an email telling them if my order isn't shipped today that I would be canceling heh. Looks like they might have made it just in time.

Just got a DHL tracking number on the website and by e-mail, although the tracking number isn't working on DHL's site just yet -- probably too soon. But it looks like it shipped! Yay! :D (Hope to get it by Friday for the weekend -- DHL doesn't deliver on Saturday w/o extra $$.) :o Anyway, it's coming! :D

Received the following morning, installed in the afternoon. Tried one game and working. Not bad for a first soldering job, I guess. :p Glad I waited instead of canceling and going elsewhere.. Would have ended up waiting even longer. :rolleyes:

I bought their tri-wing screwdriver as well. I actually didn't have too many problems w/ them except two on the bottom side of the Wii. I read on another thread that some screws (those two in particular, maybe) are actually flat in the screwhead, so my (your) tri-wing screwdriver might not really fit in there. The solution was to file the tip of the screwdriver down a bit so it's also flat, and it will actually fit the screws. That trick did work for me -- I was really struggling w/ those two screws before filing the screwdriver a tad.

These guys are the worst. They close support tickets without any response and they say on their site that they have limited supply of wiikeys available to ship when they haven't shipped out all outstanding orders. They seem to be trying to gather up all the orders they can this way, away from those that are actually shipping now.

When I first started dealing with them, I didn't think they were that bad but man do I regret ordering from them. Their support is way too slow.

FINALLY got my Wiikey. Took in total about 2 1/2 weeks.

Don't think I'll be recommending them to my friends though.

And my order has been in their system for over 2 weeks now. They just closed my ticket about it after I just asked about it, without saying a word.

You can see how good a store really is can be seen when there are problems.

Is their live support ever online or is that just a static banner on their site?

I am in the exact same position as hehehhehe. I preordered mine several weeks ago and it is still in their system as incomplete. I asked about it since they stated on the their website that all "wiikey preorders have shipped" and that "wiikeys are fully available in stock". All they did was close my ticket without any sort of response. :mad:

I tried calling them since they're not replying to my tickets. Guess what, the number they have listed with the BBB is bs, and it doesn't work anymore. What kind of business doesn't allow phone support?

Avoid these guys.
