Hi does anybody know if the Qoob could boot up games written to mini dvd-rw? And also I noticed some people just replace the cube case so that it can read full sized dvdrs. But can you put more than one game on the dvdr as well? Thank you.

No matter what chip/bios you have, your GC will not read rw's. The reason being is, the GC dvd drive cannot read rw's, and no chip/bios is going to make it be able to.
And if you want to have multiple games on one disc, buy the Viper. With Cobra 1.1(and 1.0) you can use a feature called multiboot that allows you to have multiple wiped games on one disc(for example, I have one with three games on it, and another with five games on it).

In the media compatibility thread in one of brakken's faqs, didn't it say that some -rw were supported?

A few people have claimed that they have gotten some to work, but they could be lying, or just lucky. I have tried every mini dvd-rw on that list(at tons of different ohm levels, and on multiple gaemcubes, and none have worked. I have also tried a few Fullsize dvd-rw's and dvd+rw's, and none have worked.

I've heard of people dropping the ohms to like 50 to make it work. Even if it did, who would be stupid enough to set their laser at 50 ohms?
