My Velcro-Fastener Gamecube MOD

Hi, i want to show my first version of my Gamecube (Full-Size) which has a Velcro Fastener as close-system. I added some LEDs to make my Gamecube looking better. I changed the PowerLED - now its a green one :)

If you can gimme some advice what i can add more into my gamecube say it please :) I plan to add Blue LEDs into the Controller Ports - that will come next :)

Not to be rude, but the velcro looks pretty ugly. I would try to use magnets instead of velro, but thats just me.

the thing with magnets is unless you get it to work perfectly with the release button, how do you pull up the lid? I've never seen anything on how to do that properly, this seems more practical to me, I did something similar, I put a piece of plastic in front of the lid to slide over it and hold it down, actually it's a small part of the original gamecube lid lock. You have to put the spring back in the lid for this to work but if you ask me it's 10 times better to have a spring hold the lid up than me when I'm trying to put a disc in. I posted a little tutorial on eurasia.nu's wikipedia thing if anybodies interested

i didnt add a magnet because i didnt have one ^^ So i decided to add a velcro for my gamecube. The good thing is:
The green power led shines into the velcro - so its a good effect. I think the velcro looks like a nose of the gamecube - so it looks a bit funny and not as like as another *normal* gamecube ;)

very nice idea...simple and fun (like lazy shoes :D ) any chance we can get a day top shop of your cube...i see alot going on with it someting 12 leds sticking out and what not. Would be nice to see some more detail on it.

ohh inside the cube its very ugly i think ;) everywhere cables and so on. But whats interesting: Behind the cooler is one LED (its a nice effect). There is some space to put one there - try it duey :) On the left and right (the red leds) i just some holes to put the leds into it.
