I seem to be having alot of trouble with the app DSDoom on ma m3 simply. I can get the game up to a point, however it says something about it not loading the IWAD file. I wondered if any one could help.

I get the same error message!
I followed the instructions in the readme.txt and I even have various .WAD files. I read somewhere that you need to put the wads in a "dsdoom" folder. I tried that and keeping them in the root folder without success. :(
anyone have other ideas or advice?

hey chris, I found out that there is a new version of dsdoom.nds. I downloaded version 1.0.0 from these forums, but theres a v1.1.0 that we can patch with DLDI. I think this is our problem and I will find out if it works when I get home later tonight.

darn, now I'm just getting a black screen but I don't get the IWAD message anymore. Anyone know which version of DSDoom works with M3 simply?

it would make sense to patch it i spose, however i had tried the new 1.1.10 of doom
and btw, for the record, i am using my doom2.wad file from the original game

I've got a similar problem.
I'm using 1.1.0 patched with DLDI.
I put all the files into my root directory. It will load my DOOM.WAD (Ultimate Doom), but I have no music and if I press start, I'll hear the sound effect like it's going to load the menu, but then nothing happens and I have to restart the DS.
And if I try to load Doom2.wad I just get a black screen.

I'm running DsDoom 1.1.0 (rev2) from http://www.jefklak.com/Guides/Doom-DS
with the Ultimate Doom WAD on a m3 perfect.
Copy over the .ds.gba (the nds file didn't work for me, maybe thats the trick for you) or the .nds, along with prboom.wad and doom.wad from your Doom install (make sure it's renamed to doom.wad, and not doomx.wad or anything else), and stick everything in the root of your card.
Then just patch it with your DLDI thing, hit start for the menu and press select to go forward in the menu. The no-music is because they haven't implemented it yet.

How did you run the .gba file from a slot-1 card?
o.O
And you mran 1.1.0 rev 1 right? I dont see a rev 2 on there.
Oh yeah, I mean rev 1.
Just rename the .ds.gba to .nds, and try that. It wouldnt even run the .nds on my machine.

Actually, I found out it was just a bad doom.wad file
