Whenever i use dpgtools121 and try to convert a video with the size of around 151mega bites it takes over an hour to convert to dpg format. I realized that it first goes into other formats then finally into dpg. Is this normal or is there a way i can get it to go faster. So lately i have been using the max media video converter and that goes nice and fast. But the problem with it is that you can't fast foward or rewind. Oh yea and the videos i have been converting were in avi format

I think it has somethin to do with the fact that the file size is 141MB. Mine took about 10 minutes or so when it was about 20MB. Try converting something shorter, or use BatchDPG (it's better anyway, the problem is you have to have AVISynth, and mine won't work correctly even with it).

How come the Max video converter only takes around 4 mins to convert the same video

This is normal because the DPG container format contains a MPEG-1 video stream and a MPEG-LAYER 2 audio stream .. so the DPG encoder has to produce those both streams first before packing them together into a DPG file with a header similiar to AVI ;)
